Success Stories

Here are just SOME of the success stories we've had on campus.  You know, you REALLY can make a difference.  Click on a picture for a larger image.  Each picture is opened in its own windows.

Courage

This pretty kitty was rescued by Jason, Campus Security Officer, last summer (2005).  She was very scared and thin, but has grown into a beautiful, sweet, healthy friend to Jason and his wife.  They named her Courage because even though she was very tiny, she was very 'courageous' living on her own.

Sally

Sally was born under the Math/Sci. building and was a VERY friendly feral. So much so that she was the unofficial cat ambassador to the campus.  For almost a year, she would greet students by the Math/Sci. building and patiently wait for a kind word or a gentle scratch -- sometimes even food left by a kind-hearted person. She was adopted by one of those students on Friday, May 13, 2005.  And you thought Friday the 13th was unlucky!

We will all miss Sally, but know that she has been adopted by a kind family -- which is what Campus Cat Coalition is all about.

Peachy

Rita adopted Peachy in Fall of 2000 when she was 3-4 months old.  Peachy now weights 20 pounds and is an affectionate, loving, purring addition to Rita's family.  Rita said she and her family wouldn't trade Peachy for the world; they love her.
Red

Red, born in April of 2004, was adopted by Connie and Ted who love their big, sassy kitty.  Ted is retired and has developed a close bond with his buddy, Red.
Graycie

Graycie was adopted by Paula Strome on 12/27/2004, after Margo Brock socialized her.  She’s named for God’s grace (and because she’s gray).  Graycie is now a spoiled indoor cat, who so far would rather play than cuddle!
Nadia

Nadia was a Campus Center kitten adopted by Cece Westerfield in 2003. She got her name because of her great balancing skills. Nadia has a friendly disposition, an aloof personality and is definitely NOT a lap cat.  She loves exploring the pasture for critters and is a good mouser.

Morris

Morris was an infant foundling adopted by Mary Dunwoody in 2004 after a group fostering effort. Morris is testimony that it takes a village to save a life and has added a lively dimension to Mary’s household. (see Morris’s story)

Ralph, Lucy and Jack (AKA Stadium Kitties)

These kitties were rescued from the stadium area on 4/4/2005.  After about a week of socialization they were ready for adoption...

Bob and Susan to the rescue!

On 4/22/2005 Bob and Susan opened their hearts and home to Ralph, Lucy and Jack.  The kittens are enjoying their new parents and their nice home in the mountains.

Thank you Bob and Susan.
